When you sign a petition or send a campaign template, your MP knows what they're looking at. Petitions produce a number. Template campaigns produce the same letter, hundreds of times. Both are recognisable tools of organised pressure, and MPs are practised at responding to them.

A genuine email from a constituent is different in kind. MPs have a legal duty to engage with constituent correspondence. A personal letter cites real evidence, raises a specific concern, and demonstrates that someone in the MP's own constituency cares enough to have written. When enough people do that independently, it creates a cumulative signal that's harder to set aside than a petition total.

The email Regarding helps you write is yours: sent from your inbox, edited to say what you actually want to say. We produce a first draft so you don't have to start from a blank page.

The platform generates a first draft based on your postcode, the issue you've selected, and anything you've chosen to add about your own experience. It draws only on a curated set of verified sources, checked before the issue was added to the platform. No live web searches. No sources we haven't approved.

The draft is a starting point. You read it, change anything you want, and send it when you're ready. Nothing is sent without your review. If it doesn't reflect your view, you change it. The email that reaches your MP is the one you approved.

Your postcode is used to generate your draft and then discarded. We do not store it. We never see your email address. When you're ready to send, the platform opens your own email app with the message ready to go.

We do retain three pieces of anonymous data: the first part of your postcode (for example "BN1", not your full postcode), the issue you selected, and the date of your session. This helps us understand whether the platform is being used and in which areas. The full details are in our privacy notice.

Yes, and you're encouraged to. The draft is a starting point. If it doesn't say what you want, or you want to add something, change it before you open it in your email app. Nothing is sent until you decide to send it.

Regarding currently has no external funding. It is free to use and will remain so – charging people to contact their own representatives is the wrong model.

Once the platform is up and running, we plan to ask for small voluntary donations from people who find it useful. There are no subscriptions, no advertising, and no data sales.
